Friends and Family of CMY,

Summer is upon us and like so many times filled with lots of fun activities and ministry events.

One started to take shape last night when I told Rhonda that a few of the evangelists were coming over for a planning session because the planned night would work. By the time we finished up we were half way through organizing a Vacation Bible School(VBS) for a church that before that moment we only had other activities on the meeting agenda. So please look further down this update and see some of the needs this church and volunteers will need to accomplish this event.

Rhonda arrived Saturday night 3 hours later than ETA making it 2:30 AM Sunday morning. Needless to say getting up the next morning for a combined worship service with 10 other congregations made for a very short night. As always she powered through the 100 degree weather 3 hour service and then a birthday celebration service later that night like the Experienced Missionary she has grown into over the past 34 years.

Fransisco writes: "We continue to prepare to host the United Church Service in November. We are also continuing to evangelize en the housing suburbs in the city, visiting discouraged members and the sick.  We have a lot of work left with our construction of the bathrooms at the church building, though the women's room has moved ahead.  The youth of the church have been assisting with many of the churches activities with manual labor and with the Spiritual work.  I give thanks to God for the lives of each of them.

CMY is looking for a few disciples that want to experience how Christians live and walk like Jesus in another country. CMY's goals include assisting small groups from the outside the Yucatán to come and serve along side the disciples here in the Yucatán. We usually have room for 3 or 4 a year. We have opening still for 2019 and 2020, start planning now by contacting us now. (This ancient Picture was uncovered or taken at Chichen Itza. It may or may not include a group of Great Lakes Christian College students and Professor along with 4 Gates boys)

Plans and needs for this summers VBS.

Members of the church in Campeche(The congregation where Doc Doty, Ron and Marilyn Fisher and several GLCC students helped dig their septic tank in 199?)(Oh and this was 6 weeks after Doc Doty's open heart surgery) asked Antonio Chuc to help organize a 3 day morning VBS and evening Revival services.
We find ourselves in need of extra material or funds to assist this congregation. Because of time we will be finding all the material we need here in Merida, so I guess what we really need is some $$ to help purchase the items needed.
1. Gas Assistance for Antonio and Candido to drive the two hours south.
2. Craft material for 4 ages groups
3. Material for the classes and for the teachers.

Benjamin has been found! Not really but he is coming to visit us for several weeks. We are so excited to spend some time together this summer. I know I always said "How nice it would be when they all graduated and moved out on their own and it is, but having them visit is even better.
